Peter was a very special person in my life. His kindness, values, character and intellect were an inspiration to me. Peter was instrumental in helping me start my business and I always made every effort to live the same values I will miss our occasional chats. When each call ended I let him know how much he meant to me and he would tell me how proud he was of me. G-d rest your soul Pete
Peter was an inspiration to all who worked with him. He was a kind person, and always put employees welfare above all. He will always be remembered as a kind generous person and an inspiration to all of us.
Rest in peace Peter.
So sorry to hear of Pete's passing. Pete and I have been friends for over 50 years.... graduating from West Aurora High School in 1965. Played football together, golfed, hunted occasionally and played poker on a monthly basis with the "poker group" so many years ago.
Rest in peace
Always positive, with a keen interest to learn, Peter touched a lot of lives. On business trips, rooming with the CEO was a world education. Equally at ease in a Vegas dive bar or the cobbled streets of Venice, Peter spoke of playing the trombone in Japan, Miles Vandero architecture, and James Joyce’s trilogy. Running a business is not easy, and recognition is elusive, but Peter used his endless, polymath energy and fun-loving charm to put those around him at ease. I appreciate the kindness and opportunity he gave to my family and me. I am sure he had no idea of the influence he had on the many, but his impact rippled deep. May God hold him close.
Sincerely condolences to Jackie, Jana, Louis and the grandchildren. I had the pleasure of knowing Pete through junior high and high school, being in classes together as well as being fellow members of the trombone section in the West Aurora bands. I remember Pete as a leader, great peer, and good friend. It also goes without saying that Pete married extremely well. After high school, I did encounter Pete and Jackie occasionally while the family lived on Highland Avenue in Aurora. Pete was a quality person in whatever he did and he will be surely missed.
My sympathies to Pete’s family. He was a good friend of mine in high school, where we shared classes and band, and developed a chess competition filled with the tension that game creates. He was a terrific opponent, with a great laugh. We reconnected as a result of the 50th reunion and discussed books, music, and politics via email. I am so sorry to have lost him.
