Paul grew up in Sunnyvale and graduated from Fremont High, where he specialized in theater and television production.  He studied under Herb Zettl in the Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts Department, San Francisco State University, then went on to employ these skills at KNTV Channel 11 in San Jose, becoming News Assignment Manager.

For 10 years, until 1996, he was Producer/Writer/Director, Production Manager at Tandem Computers in Cupertino.  The next four years, he did producing, writing, directing, creative direction, and live event production for such clients as HP, Oracle, ITN/Signalstream, Sun Microsystems, SGI, USWeb/CKS, and others as an independent contractor.  Since December 2000, he has been Producer/Writer/Director for National Semiconductor/Texas Instruments in Santa Clara.  He was co-founder of Texas Instruments’ Bay Pride Initiative, a local branch of the larger TI Pride Network, an employee resource group dedicated to supporting employees in the LGBTQ community (and their allies).

One of Paul's favorite vacation destinations was Hawaii, where he made an annual pilgrimage.  His life was filled with work and fun, a successful career, continual home improvements, and high-spirited recreation with friends.  Early one morning, his battle with Pancreatic Cancer came to an end in a hospital room, his brother and friends at his side.  Paul was the youngest of 4 boys born to Mildred L. and Rolf W. Pedersen.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Knut, of Sheridan, OR, in 1985.  He is survived by his brother, David, of Bend, OR and brother Rolf, of Oakland, CA.

Paul was an affable, considerate, compassionate, generous and kind person, highly regarded and loved by his family, friends, and co-workers.  He will be forever missed, never forgotten.
