Was thinking of grandma at a recent Mandolin Orange concert. They opened with "Golden Embers"
"Like notes on the pages, she breathes life into all things"

Nancy got very involved with Donna Gorman when Donna created a Mother's Day demonstration called "Another Mother for Peace." The first one was held at the Roundhouse in Byrd Park and it went on for a number of years after that. Nancy, I believe, was involved with Donna in getting that going and of course was a regular participant. Her involvement with the Peace Center was ongoing.
Nancy was an amazing woman who made my work at St. Edwards so much fun. She had a quick wit and great sense of humor. She really had an appreciation for the weirdness of parish life. We spent countless hours laughing over one thing or another. When she retired, I missed our time together in the Parish Center kitchen. God be with you as you go, Nancy. I know she is saying, “God be with you as you stay.”
Nancy was one of the first persons to welcome me to Richmond when I came in 1987. She showed me the ropes at St. Edward; she accompanied me as I looked for an apartment; and she frequently opened her doors of welcome to me. I am grateful for so many good times and memories . Now she is at peace living in the oneness of all love
I have known Mrs.Gallini 50 years since I was a toddler, hence "Mrs.Gallini". She treated us neighborhood kids, who were over at their house almost daily, as if we were her own family. That seems to be the essence of Nancy's life, making the community a better place to live. God Bless Nancy and her family.
July 17 will mark 6 months since we lost Nancy. The family will gather July 16 at 6:37pm via zoom to commemorate her life. If you would like to join us, send Alisha an email at awgallini@aol.com.
