I’ll always remember the first Christmas party at Jay & Michael’s house.  It was like the Enchanted village set up in their house!  It was truly an amazing site.  I told Michael how impressed I was – he told me ‘I have more decorations in the basement – I ran out of places to put them!”.  Santa arrived and every kid (there were about 30 of them) sat on his lap and received a giant candy bar – not the regular sized ones but the HUGE ones!).  The annual 4th of July party was the same – only with squirt guns and super soakers for the kids instead of candy bars.  You really have to love people that are that generous and welcoming to all – and I do.  Very happy memories that I’ll treasure.

I just heard about the passing of Michael. I had so much fun working with him for several years at his second home, Northeast Nursery. Mike has thought  me so much about the business that I didn’t know too much about. I will miss my “ buddy” RIP
