Merrell was one of the nicest persons I've have ever met. Thoughtful, conscientious, hard working, good sense of humor, tolerant of others, a infectious laugh, good friend, and a devoted husband and father. I can't think of enough good things to say about him. He will be sorely missed.

I am so sad to hear the news of Merrell passing. He was so kind to me and my dad Peter Wreden. Last time we were in touch I wanted  to send him art I found from a reunion the wredens had several years ago at my aunt Phyllis house, Merrells half sister. I wish I could have seen him again. He will be missed.
