For you will live on through the sun the moon and stars. I’ll think of you when I look into our baby’s eyes and tell him how excited you were for him to come into this world he will know nothing but the love you have for him for he is apart of you and me and when I look at him I see you and love him more cuz of it. You are my first love and our son is a product of that you will live on in our son and when we look up to the moon and stars we know your looking down on us and we will feel that love every night

Zach, We spent more time together then I can honestly remember from just chilling at the park by troys house and jaming in his garage to my dads appartment where you basically lived with me haha we where alleys togeath. One of my favorite memories that I have of us together is the time that we where siting at my dads appartment one February day.
We looked at eachother, board out of our minds and decided right then and there that we should go camping! So we both proceeded to gathere up what we thought where "essentials" and load them into your car. After about 30 min we stood in the parking lot looking in the trunk of your Honda Accord. We had 6 bottles of Gatorade, a box of saltten carckers, a half loaf of bread and a half pound of lunch meet. My beet up old tent, and two camping chairs and a few comforters to sleep with. And a bottle of lighter fluid. I remember word for word what you said to me at that moment. You turned to me and said "Dude I thank we are good, we could probably survive in the wild for like a week with all that"! hahahaha even thow we only planed on staying one night and the next day. Haha but I digress, we had loaded up your car and got a full tank of gas and started out on our mission. We had decided that the Mogollon Rim, north of Payson would be our destination (only for the fact that it was free to camp there). And with that we started driving. It was about a two and a half hour drive up there in witch we jamed out to your radio without a care In the world. As we passed payson I noticed that the weather up that far north was quite a bit different from gilbert, being February. But we where not going to allow a "little" snow stand in the way of our good time. As we aproched where we pland on camping we noticed that the road we would normally take (Forest road 300) was closed with a sine that said "heavy snow, road not patroled/plowed." But the gate was not closed. Looking at the road ahead of us there where ruts where it looked as if a large truck had recently been down that way and made a kind of path threw the snow in witch your honda could travel threw. Throwing all caution to the wind we didnt hesitate whats so ever. (rember everyone we where like 18 years old) we went about a half mile down said road untell we could no longer see the freeway that we had just been on. We parked the car and got out and started to walk away from the car into the woods. We made it about 4 feet when all of a sudden we sank up too our bellybuttons in snow. Thats when we released that there was a ditch on eachside of the road that we could not see because fresh snow had filled them and made them invisible. After about 2 hours of fooling around, and just chillin buy the smal fire we had made it started to snow. Looking at eachother as if the thought had struck us both like a bolt of lightning we released that if it keeps up the trackes in witch we used to get the car down this road would fill up with snow and we would be stuck. Also it was starting to get dark...fast! Understanding that this was probably not our best idea we quickly threw all our shit into the trunk of your car and planed on geting out of there as fast as possible! This is where we incounterd our first obstacle, we where on a one lane road with a 4 foot deep ditch on each side of us and we could not see where they where because they where full and hiddin by the snow. We didnt have much of a choice thow so you hopped in the driver seat and I said I would try to gide you and keep an eye on where the road droped off. You start to make what must have been a 28 point turn on this one lane road as I keep testing the snow to see if the ditch was close. Finally after about an hour we get the car turned complete around. I should mention that buy now the snow was coming down much faster and we had only around 20 minutes of day light left. The tracks that we had used to get this far off the highway where buy now about 50% full of fresh snow. But we both where so thrilled that we where able to get it turned around that we thought the worst had to be behind us at this point. I juped in the car and said "okay lets get out of here dude before we end up stuck and freeze to death haha". As you steped on the gas pedal both our hearts sank, the tiers where just spining and had zero traction. The panic that we had both been doing our best to hide out of concern for the other finally started to show. We both just sat there for a few minutes trying to come up with our next move. We both knew that it was probably not a good idea to hike back to the freeway and try to find help seeing as how buy now the snow was coming down sideways and it was completely dark other then the light pointing ahead of us made by your head lights. I decided to get out of the car and find any sticks or large rocks that I could to wedge up under the tiers, In hopes that we could get a little traction. You got out as well and helped, in the dark we fumbled around looking in the snow for anything to save us. After 30 minutes or so we both returned to the car freezing and making jokes about how we could huddle together for warmth...knowing in the back of our minds that if we couldn't get the car moving it would be a real possibility. But we had not lost all hope yet. We had been able to find enough sticks and large rocks that we thought we still had a chance. You started the car and gave it a little gas....nothing. Then you said "fuck this, hold on!" And pushed the pedal to the floor. The tiers spun and with a great jolt forward we started to move forward. The tracks that showed us where the road was where barley visible at this point. And we both agreed that stoping would not be a good idea, thanking that we would once again be stuck. So you just keep on the gas and after what felt like a lifetime we finally made it back to the freeway and started to head back tords gilbert...i will never forget that drive home as long as I live. There was no jaming to the radio, We barely said a word to one another but we both knew exactly what the other was thanking "thank God we made it." After a couple hour drive we finally pull back into the parking lot at around 2am. We both walked in silence into my dads appartment and floped down on the chouch, we sat in silence for a moment before looking at one another and bursting out in laffter. Its as if all at once we released quit how foolish we had been. And just happy to be back safe at home.
This is one of my most cherished memories. And I'm so glad that I got to share it with you Zach. It taught us both that when times seem hard and everything is against us, we have eachother and can make it together.
I love you Zach and I alleys will I'm heartbroken that your gone. But I pray that you are at pice and know that no matter how bad the storm I will always be right there with you.
Love forever, your friend
