What a wonderful and full life! Your life and contributions are a great legacy and role model for all of us in the next generation. From one retired veteran to another, I salute you. “Well Done. Be thou at Peace.”
It was almost 60 years ago that I became Bill’s teaching assistant and he taught me how to lecture. More importantly he taught me the virtues of patience and kindness. He was the kindest of men and a brilliant scientific innovator, contributing immeasurably to modern respiratory protection.
He was my industrial hygiene professor in 1980. He was brilliant and kind. I later knew him when he lived in Marion. He was a true Renaissance man. I miss him very much.
