Vera, from the day we met there was an instant connection.  I loved playing soccer with you and your sister and the plus side of that was getting to know you both as friends. Every gal I have had the pleasure to play along side are considered part of my family, and although life may put us on very different journeys, all of you are always with me in my heart. Until the next game my friend!

You were always close to my heart and there you shall remain Vera, there are no words to sum up your life and the loss of it. I love you and I always will :)

I remember Vera as a student of mine at JMMS many  years ago. She was so full of vim and vigor and what a strong determined girl she was. I am so sorry that she is no longer here, but will remain in all of our memories.

I will always remember how ecstatic Peg was to adopt Vera and Nadya 20 years ago.  She helped teach all parents who knew her what true unconditional love was as we watched her grow as a Mother and exchanged parenting stories over the years.  She and Paul chose to be the parents of two wonderful girls!  Both to be in their hearts forever, and both to fill their lives with endless love.

Always missing you, baby girl! I will always be your Mom, though this first Mother's Day without you here will be tough....

Dear Vera,
Today is your first birthday in heaven. I hope you played several soccer games, and are at a grand party tonight. We miss you every day, and wish we could be together to celebrate, but that is not to be. Keep watching over your sissy--she needs an angel on her shoulder. Love you always. Mom

We miss you every day, but on your birthday so much more. Tears fall. Hearts break again.
You were a light here on earth--a joy, an inspiration, a fighter, and a source of laughter and fun.
We will always miss you...
