So sorry for your loss. It's devastating to lose a loved one. Comforting are the words at Job 34:14,15. God promises to resurrect many to live again, he longs to do this (Acts 24:15) Gods original purpose was that we live forever and he will make this happen as it says at Psalms 37:29, "The righteous will possess the earth and they will live forever upon it."
