I forever grateful to Tom, whose generosity and willingness to take a chance on a young alum out of college, gave me the opportunity to start my career returning to Austin as a teacher. His passion and humor always brightened up a room and I will never forget the many conversations about the Red Sox and Celtics. RIP, Tom.
Two years ago I retired after 43 years of teaching. Mr. Enright was the strongest role model that I had in deciding upon a career choice. He was my math teacher in 9th grade (1967 - 1968) and my baseball coach in freshman (student manager) and sophomore years. I have never forgotten his sense of humor and dedication. My deepest sympathies to the Enright family. Bob Jones, class of 1971
I believe I was in one of his first Calculus classes back in 1969. It was an experience that never left me. I majored in Math at Villanova and eventually became an attorney, but I never forgot Mr. Enright. He was a students teacher, kind, forgiving, and supportive, it’s no wonder he was also a great coach. He will be sorely missed.

Initial memory of this GREAT man and mentor: Freshman Year, I had Algebra on Monday morns as first class. I sat in the last row. One Monday morn, a young, but older, guy with a round face sat directly behind me. As class began, he was told to stand and introduced as our soon-to-be student teacher who was observing class for the moment. He sat down, leaned forward and whispered to me, "I can't wait to get started."
What a career!
I can see him whispering to me. Seems like just yesterday.
