Tom was my father in law and was always freindly and supportive to both me and especially my kids and will always be greatful for that.  I will always remember his sence of humor and his generosity.  
I remember Thanksgiving at his house where he invited his international students.  He was a good and true citizen of the world!

Dear Pam, We were so sorry to learn of Tom's passing. Please accept our sincerest condolence. Tom was so important to me as a mentor, scientific role model and friend. I cherish the time I spent in Tom's lab in the 1970's. We so loved getting together at your Sudbury home and getting to meet your family. Over the years since, we enjoyed Tom's annual holiday messages. He will be missed.
