Terry was one of a kind -- kind, harpist, harpsichordist, dedicated Mercedian, father, and spouse, with a definitely whimsical sense of humor (think Emo Philips). We shared our childhoods in Merced, then rekindled our friendship decades later at a common firm as attorneys. Thoughtful and gracious, calm and helpful -- we lost Terry far too soon, but his spirit will ever be with us.
Terry was a unique blend of off-the-charts intelligence and creativity – the only attorney/pianist on the planet who built a harpsichord, clavichord and harp – so very kind, funny and generous. His love of Judy, Mary Kate and Holly was boundless. Can’t believe we’ll never again hear Terry tell a joke. Rest in peace, my dear friend.
I remember Terry Kane very fondly as one of my first bosses when I was as an associate in a San Jose law firm. Terry was a great mentor, very insightful, and had a superb sense of humor. We worked together for 3 years or so before we both left to join other firms. I am sorry we were not able to keep more in touch over the past years. Terry was a great lawyer and will be greatly missed.
