Siv and I studied Spanish together in Mountain View a few years ago.
She was always cheerful and helpful to others in the class.
To her family I offer my condolences - a life well lived.
Before Siv was Wheeler she was born Larson and taught high school U S history at Bell H S in Southern California in the 1960s. I had the pleasure of attending two of her history classes as a student in 1965 and 1866. She was a terrific inspiration to me and after high school I pursued a degree in U S history at Cal State L A. I am saddened to read of her passing and offer my condolences
graduated in '83 and have never forgotten ms. wheeler. decided to google her - and I'm sorry to see she passed away. took so many classes from her that I didn't need and had nothing to do with my own emphasis. what an interesting lady and a great teacher: funny, direct, terrific story teller and fantastic communicator. I'm certain many of her former students remember her as I do.
