Lasting memories...an apt description of Sherry. September, 1964...first month of middle school. 12 years old, as impressionable as I'd ever be. I met a number of new friends. But, the one that will always be the most "Lasting Memory" is Sherry. As I've repeated, so often, over the last few months: "you'll be with me like a handprint on my heart" Much Love
Thinking of you Sissie. Although I am sad without you and wish that you were here, within my heart your lovely smile shines bright and clear. I treasure all those memories of growing up with you, the secrets we would share and the silly things we'd do. As the years flew quickly by we became closer still. I miss you my dearest sister and I know I always will. I love you Sissie!
Casey & Kelsey, when I think of Sherry I think of how kind she always was. She could walk in to a room of wealth people, or a room of people in poverty and make each group feel welcomed. She had an ability to communicate with anyone and I always admired that ability. She is loved by so many and I hope you all find comfort & peace the memories you built together. Love & Prayers Mary
My family and I will always remember the good times we had with Sherry, Casey, and Kelsey at the little cabin at Mill Isle Boat Club in NE. That was where I first met Sherry (who later became my sister in law). Litttle California girl with long blonde hair, who everyone loved. She will be greatly missed. Love Susan @ Family
She is with me always
And lives in my heart
She speaks to my soul
We are not far apart
She sees me building my dreams
With wisdom and grace
I will ask for her guidance
With each challenge I face
She is more than a memory
I feel our love grow
She is forever my angel
Some things you just know
I will tell her my thoughts
My hopes and my fears
Because she is there listening
Ready to heal all my tears
For today, I can share
That in the spirit world above
She has taken my hand
She is complete, she is love
To leave a tribute breaks my heart. I only met Sherry twice, and both times her calm, gentle spirit inspired me. The 2nd time we met was in Hoboken, NJ. We ate at an Italian restaurant, then went across the st. to the Cake Boss’s bakery. It was closing, so we grabbed the goods and went to Starbuck’s up the block. Her gentle spirit was hesitant to eat CB’s goods at SB. I admired that!
Probably one of the kindest individuals I have ever met. We met 52 years ago, but it seems like only yesterday. Sherry was one of those people who always had a kind word and a sense of calm no matter what the situation. I'm sure she had a positive impact on so many of those who knew her. She will be missed and is loved by many.....
Sherry was such a great friend to me for most of my adult life...so many memories. She was compassionate, fair, honest. I really don't think I will ever have a friend as wonderful as she was. My deepest sympathies to Casey and Kelsey (and Kenneth), Kaye and Darlene. A big thank you to Sherry's mom for raising such an amazing woman.
Saying goodbye is always the hardest thing we do in our lives, and surely there are no words to help ease your sorrow. Time is the only medicine, and the memory of your love for each other will help comfort you until then. Treasure those memories always -- it's her final gift to you. -- Cherie Hyer
Words cannot even begin to express our sadness, and sympathies to Sherry's Family. The world needs more Sherry's not less. We are forever grateful for the time we got to spend with Sherry, she was always so thoughtful, kind and humble and our lives are better for having known her. Rest in Peace our Beautiful Sister-in Law/Aunt, We will forever hold memories of you in our hearts.
We have enjoyed many family gatherings over the years where we had the opportunity to get to know Sherry. We will cherish all those happy times and memories in celebration of Sherry’s life. Our love and prayers go out to Casey, Kelsey, and the family for the loss of such a beautiful and wonderful woman. She will truly be missed. ~ Dave & Kathi McKillip
Sherry, it was so nice meeting you in Reprographics. You were always so helpful. We will meet again some day and float on a cloud and talk about good times. May you rest easy. Pam Falcone Horita
