This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Sandra Dorsey, 66, born on February 28th, 1954 and passed away on May 18th, 2020. Sandi passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 18, 2020 after a long battle with kidney cancer. She is survived by 3 brothers- Mike Eakin, Gary Eakin and Ron Eakin (Linda), 2 daughters- Lisa Coronado and Stacy Cortez and 6 grandchildren- James Fontaine, Shannon Fontaine, Jesse Coronado, Jacob Coronado, Anthony Cortez and Aria Cortez. Sandi grew up and lived most of her life in Pinole. Besides being a devoted mother and grandmother she was a dedicated employee of Sheldon Elementary school for 38 years. She was strong and stubborn and loved by all especially children. She enjoyed spending time at the Zoo and watching the Oakland A's. Celebration of life to be held at a later date.
Ms. Sandy is such a sweet and wonderful person. She shows her smile to all of us and makes our day bright. I love how she takes care of our kids at Sheldon Elementary. You will always be remembered and appreciated. Ms. Basco's class loves you Ms. Sandy.
My family and I would like to thank Ms. Sandi for everything she's done for the kids at Sheldon. My kids were very saddened to hear that she was taken from us. They all said she was so nice. May Ms. Sandi rest in peace.
Sandi and I were friends in High School. We had so much fun together. We lost contact after graduation. She was a good friend and I am so sad to learn she is no longer with us. Rest in peace, dear Sandi.
