This is Dave Mueller, a member of Mike Co. 3/9. I chose Bob to be my Radio Man. I was Bob's squad leader and Platoon commander. Bob was one of the best Marines I ever knew. Such a great attitude all of the time. I counted on Bob all the time. Bob was always cracking jokes. He kept all of us in a better mood. It was a sad day when Bob was wounded and had to leave the field.
