Just heard of Rick's passing a few minutes ago.  I'm shocked and saddened. He was one of "the boys" at Stanford Golf Course when I arrived in 1984.  He was a good one; a classic.  Funny, friendly, and one of the nicest guys around.  He will certainly be sorely missed by me and many others.  Love ya, man.

Rick, you are very much missed. Our barbecues are a thing of the past; you were the master. I should have paid more attention to how you did it. I want to talk to you to ask questions and there is only silence. You did our shopping so well--you knew so much about food and where to get the best. Gone also is our winemaster and golf expert. You are so much missed in our lives!

Rick, we miss you every day. Tonight your siblings and parents will be at Dutch Goose to have your birthday party. Thanks so much for contributions to our lives--and many other friends. And we haven't had the courage to try to emulate your barbecue dinners since you left.
Love, Mom

You left us way too soon. Now it is two years and the memories flood back. The OMG bar boxes, the golf equipment, pictures of you with family and friends, so many memories.  You are very missed.
Love, Mom
