Dear Beloved Cousin Richard,

The pain of your loss is unbearable to all of us whose lives you touched by your extraordinary grace, courage and dignity. Yet as I sit here in weakness and self-pity, mourning your loss, thoughts of you bring a smile to my heart and soul. You came upon this earth and left as a powerful, positive and undeniable force of all that is good and honorable in this time we call life. You make me smile, because you lived your entire life in the service of others. You set the example and set the bar so high, I know, I for one will fall short, but I am far better for having felt your spirit and presence in my life. Your example has spread far and wide throughout our family and extended family. The spirit of your intent will live on in generations to come, giving high expectations for our grandchildren and great grandchildren. You make me smile because you did not rely upon empty words; positive action is still your language that will carry on for generations. Many people claim to be great, yet you were so humble and just let your actions speak loud and clear. Your actions were always guided by a clear compass of honor, integrity, humility, honesty, kindness, compassion, generosity and love; all in the service of others. Yes you set the example, in honor of you, I hope the rest of us can learn to be guided by your light and take positive action for others in our time called life.

I love you my big brother!!!

I will miss you so much, but you will never be forgotten…

I smile upon you for all the great memories…

Cousin Jeff

Richard, You gave me a lifetime of happiness. I'm striving to live each day to the fullest as you lived. I pray that your proud of me. It's strange that you're not here, I feel you all around me and within me. But, at the same time I miss your touch, your voice, your smile, and so much more. You were a special man in life, and will continue to be forever more. All my love, always, Cheryl
