I'll never forget Richard, a dear and faithful friend whom I first met in 1956.  I regret not having kept in better touch, except for Christmas cards, these last years as age has crept up on us.  We had great times going to the opera together.  Farewell, dear Richard.

We are grateful to know more of Richard’s life. Our deepest sympathies go to his loved ones. Richard was our neighbor for two years in Oakland. He gave our children his leftover Halloween candy and always a wave and a greeting. We moved away in 1987 and exchanged Christmas cards until two years ago when his stopped.
