Dear Dad,
Thank you for helping me be the man I am today, without your help, guidance, mentoring I could not have done it. I will miss our talks, BBQ time, fishing and above all your warm heart. Walk gently our Angel as you enter the heavenly gates. All my love your son Jeff

Mr. Arlie, Dick, we have never met but I have met your son Jeff.  No Jeff and I are not long time friends who meet weekly in fact we only see each other once a year for the past 5 or 6 years now.   When I first saw Jeff he struck me as different because he was from the start friendly, funny and very giving to all.  Through those yearly meetings I saw Jeff as a solid well grounded man and I soon found out from Jeff he had experienced a major personal loss. He handles the loss with such dignity and I wondered how he grew to such a wonderful person.  I found that out when he confident to me about your condition.  The picture he painted through his words about you and not only childhood memories but how you two shared such a wonderful bond as men.  He always prayed he could be half the man you were.  Richard through Jeff I see your love given to your family, the humor you've instilled in them.  Some people pass and their names are never spoken again but I think Mr Arlie your memories will be shared for generations to come. Rest in Piece Richard
