There are know words to express how i feel about Resa. I loved her very much. She was the kind of person who took people with nothing and gave them her all. she taught love and giving. she was my mentor and a mom to me. She gave me hope at a better life. she fed me when i was poor and never judged me for my faults. she saved my life and she will always be my hero. i love you always.

Resa was a huge support to me over the years I worked with her. As a general education teacher, I valued her guidance and expertise in helping my special needs students. She even lent her help to me on a personal level when I had concerns about my own daughter's academic progress. Resa was a sweet, sensitive, and compassionate person with a heart of gold. She will be greatly missed!

Resa was a lovely lady I had the privilege of working with in the teachers association. I enjoyed her company and her upbeat take on life. My condolences to her loved ones and friends. I was lucky to have known Resa.

As a lonely black man in a new area at a new job; I thought my career at MCOE was over when a grievance was brought against me. I was already packing my bags. Resa listened. She supported me in a way I never felt. It was not in her words. Her hug. Her comedy. She is love! She laughed at something I was crying about. The grievance wasn't real. I grew up. I love you Resa Foss. Thank You :)

I'll remember her compassionate listening, eloquent speaking skills, and  integrity in her role as grievance chair.  Resa cared about others, about justice and truth, and offered her help even when the odds seemed insurmountable.  She was a great example of living one's values- a real gem- and she will be missed!

I grew up on the Potthoff’s street in Seattle. Resa and I played together often. We lost contact during our high school years. I’m sad to learn of her passing, but impressed to read of her accomplishments. I wish we had stayed friends. My sympathy goes out to her family.
