This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Reiji Yanagishita, 82, born on November 25th, 1936 and passed away on April 12th, 2019. We will remember him forever.
There will be Celebration of Life luncheon on May 24th at 11;30am at East Ocean Seafood Restaurant in Emeryville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Atlanta Humane Society in honor of his love for dogs.
My heart goes out to the family during this difficult time. Thank you and Kumiko for giving to me your daughter to share my life with, and the many family memories of travels and experiences near and abroad that we shared together through the years. We know you are in a good place, and may this give our family and loved ones you’ve touched the strength and courage to get through this time. May you rest in peace.
Yes, we feel so fortunate to have known Reiji. We will always remember his great smile, warm personality, positive attitude, and fun times at our various events. He will be missed by all. Seldom do you find a person like Reiji that is so special and so easy to get to know. We offer our very sincere condolences to his family, our son Mark, and his beautiful wife Emi.
We are so sad & shocked by the loss of Reiji. Our hearts go out to his beloved family. We have been fortunate enough to live next door to Reiji and Kumiko for the last 31+ years & could not have asked for better or nicer neighbors. We enjoyed our talks with him as he'd pass by our home on his daily walks with the dogs. One thing was certain -- he loved and adored his wife, family & dogs!
