Resident of Palo Cedro California, Refugio Gomez was a lifelong resident of San Jose & Sunnyvale and passed away on December 25, 2015.  He is survived by his loving wife, Vonda, children Dean (Kim), Diana (Joe), grandchildren Kaylee and Evan, sisters Patricia (Harry), Irma, Orfa (Juan- late), and many nephews and nieces.
“Coke” worked in the floor covering trade as a successful mechanic, business owner, and estimator for 40 years in the bay area and southern Oregon.   Working hard was an institution he lived by and influenced many through retirement in 2005.  “Russ”, was a character and enjoyed entertaining, music, motor-cross, golf, NASCAR, reading, the 49er’s, spoiling “Daisy”, and his 1949 F-1 Ford Pick-up.    
Refugio will be greatly missed and a celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26 at The Red Lion, 1830 Hilltop Drive, Redding, CA.
