I was very nervous the first time I met Pat.  I'd been warned that she could be 'prickly' but I must say that she treated me always with weloming warmth and (grudging) respect.  She was a woman who knew her own mind and did not suffer fools gladly.  I say that with respect and fondness.  Pat wasn't always the easiest person to be around, but she had great feeling and chose awesome ties.
