Patty, words cannot express my sadness and condolences for your loss. I hope it helps to know the volunteer dive family at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and marine education community also feel a deep pain from Mike’s sudden passing.  May he Rest In Peace with dolphins, sea otters and angels. Love & Hugs

Dear Patty, My most heartfelt condolences for your loss. Mike was a wonderful friend and we will keenly miss his wistful laugh, great sense of humor, and most of all, his compassion and humility. He was a kind and gentle man and the world is a better place because he was in it. Blessings and peace be with him, you and your family
-With love, Ralph

Dear Guardino Family and Friends - As a former science teacher, Aquarium diver and seasonal wildlife biologist in Yosemite I knew Mike on many fronts. He was a mentor and friend. He once explained to me why the dark side of the moon was unknown from Earth. He explained it in simple, eloquent terms that made it embarrassingly obvious. I was in awe. I shall truly miss him. Condolences, Gary
