Mark - you were my brother and dear friend. You'll be in my mind and heart forever. Kauf DGTZ will always be the label that writes the checks- although you may still have a little outstanding debt! Brother, you will be sorely missed. You touched the lives of everyone you met and made everyone feel like they most important person in the world. I'm lucky to have known you. Much love, Frank.

I don't have just one memory of Mark. A collection of them, and can only think of him beaming, owning a room and taking so much interest in whoever was around him. He had so much spunk, warmth and such a sense of humor. I loved that entrepreneurial spirit, much like his sis, and will miss his enthusiasm, brightness and laugh. So much love to the Kaufmans.

The world has lost another amazing soul this week.  My dear friend Mark, how much I love you I am not sure you will ever know. There are so many memories that we share, it is hard to think of just one.  I will miss your smile, your laugh and your overall genuine care of me and all others.  XOXOXO my friend.  You will forever be in my thoughts and memories. All my love to the Kaufman's

I'm blessed to have grown up with you Mark. You stood up for me when I got picked on as a little kid and sat with me in the student center my first day at Greenwich High School. You were sensitive to others' needs and were a genuine great friend... and had an awesome sense of humor. I'm sorry I wasn't as close these last few years. I will miss you my friend.

Mark - You were such a special boy to our family!  As the packs of friends that came through my nephew Andrew's life your friendship was one that always stood strong!  As you boys would say to me Pen we aren't friends we are bro's and you truly were to my nephew!  We love you so much and we will continue to remember all the good and joy you brought to so many!

I never thought I would be writing one of these for you. A lot of people don't know that we were friends or how close we became the past four years. Not a month would go by when we didn't check in on each other or say I love you or support each other in our darkest times. You know what you did for me, I'll never forget. You saved my life. I'll live mine for you. Love you, always boo boo

My darling Mark. I think I loved you from the moment we met. You had a  wonderful way of making everyone feel so special. You were larger than life, so much fun to be around, & charming as hell. You could really light up a room & always knew how to make an entrance. I will miss your laugh, your big hugs, those savage rhymes, & your wicked sense of humor. We lost a good one in you, Sweets.

Mark you will truly be missed. The light and laughter you brought into my life will forever be remembered. You were someone I often confided in and we often would give eachother advice. You left this life to soon this we can all agree. My heart goes out to those who have gone through the utter heart break of watching a loved one suffer from the disease of addiction. May you Rest In Peace.

1/2: 1996 was the year I met Mark. We were the giddie Central Girls that had met this handsome, funny, smart hockey player from Eastern. We constantly played MASH and let me tell you..we practically cheated to make sure that we married you. We didn't care about the Mansion or the car, we just all wanted to be sure we married Mark! Since we met you our lives were never the same...

I did not know Mark. My brother was friends with him from hockey. But about 2 years ago I was trying to help someone find a culinary job in FL and heard Mark was at a good place. I FBd him and within 1 day he replied so kindly with Anything I Can Do To Help attitude. He was more than helpful, when he didn't really have to be. A kind & generous spirit. (Ok, handsome too.)  Prayers to family

You're a relentlessly loving and comedic soul: simply mentioning  your name triggers a heartfelt smile. I love you brother, your type of friendship cannot be replaced.  I'm so grateful to have had you in my life.

I hope somehow you can see this outpouring of love Mark, you deserve to feel the love you've always given.

Mark,
No words can accurately describe your immense spirit and heart. Yesterday we got to remember, honor and celebrate you and the lasting impact you made on all of us. There were lots of tears, but you inspired even more smiles and laughs as you always do. I'm forever grateful to have been your friend. Be easy brother. I love you, and I miss you.

Mark,  I have been trying to find the words to describe how found I am of you.  You had the ability to light up a room and so many people loved you.  I truly hope that you knew that.  From the moment we met I knew what a wonderful person you were.  You were such a big personality and my whole family loved you including me.  I will always remember your smile and man you gave a great hug!

I remember his entrances into the house whenever my grandmother was over.  As he walked through the door, he would yell “Nana!” as if she was his own.  Mark was like family at our house, and he even managed to win over Nana, who liked few and far between. I think she liked him because she knew Mark always looked out for us.  I was lucky enough to know Mark and I will forever miss my friend

Candle lit  by Kyle Shepard on May 8th, 2017

Mark used to grab a ride with me, Rory, and often other younger guys to hockey senior year. At first I thought he liked being chauffeured, or the Tribe or Beastie Boys that were always being played, but I was wrong. Mark liked the camaraderie and extra time spent with teammates and friends. Full of talent, creativity, and certainly humor - I miss those rides Mark.  Rest easy friend.

Mark,

Thank you for always being there. I can't remember when we first met, whether it was baseball or Sharks and Minnows at Roxbury. You and I always found a way to see each other as kids.  As we got older you taught me many things one being how to drive.  I'll never forget when the instructor fell asleep during your driving lesson and your reaction was to drive home and leave her in your driveway.  There was Wiffle ball at the Caufield's, Somehow you and I always were always against Frank and Andrew.
I love that you always put everyone before yourself and were the energy of the party. I try to do that every day at work, and that is something I got from you. There are so many other stories I want to tell. I wish you were there to see all the friends, family, and love that came to see you. It was nothing but happiness for you. I miss you. These past few days have really been tough, but I know you're there with your hand on my back helping me through. I miss and love you Mark.
The best ones always leave the party first.  As Big L sang, "DGTZ is the label that writes the checks".

1/2  Mark:  Thank you for being a great friend and brother to my son, Frank.  I remember meeting you at my house in Riverside, a nice funny teenager, you became a good Friend to Frank and helped him make friends in a new school and many of them still close friends today.  I remember you and Frank singing in my car to “Ooh-oo-child” at the top of your lungs.

Candle lit  by Lynn Andrighetti on May 13th, 2017

2/2  You did make the world brighter with your smile and laughter.  At the rehearsal dinner for Frank & Peyton’s’ wedding, after I made my speech, you knew I was nervous and you were the first one to come up to me and with that great smile of yours you said “Hey Mrs. A you made me cry” and we hugged and laughed.  I’ll miss you Mark, my heart goes out to your family and friends.
