I knew Marion from the School for the Deaf. She was funny, charming and interesting. I loved her playful nature and sense of humor. She cared about the students and interacted with them, they liked her.
You could always count on her making you laugh ,what a gift!
I am sorry she has left this world too soon.
Marion was my 1st grade teacher in 1984 at PS 158. My son is now in first grade and last night I told him about Ms. Cantone and how, to this day, she remains my FAVORITE teacher. I googled her to perhaps find a pic to show my son and, to my dismay, I found her obituary. It brought me to tears. She was a true gem. Her memory will live on in the countless people she touched. God bless.
I was a classmate of Marion's at Emerson College, class of 1966. I remember her in the lead as "Mother Courage. We were practice teachers together at Rosary Academy in Watertown in our senior year. She loved kids and, of course, the theater. Bless her.
