Marc had his personal quirks and difficult traits, but the fine community work he did in establishing Poetry@Emack's series in Roslindale will live on in many people's memories. He hosted scores of readings at this venue for more than five years. And never once did he use it to promote his own work.

Thanks, Peter for that lovely remembrance, vivid to me still . So many poets of all ages supported by Marc ! His humanistic side was one of his great strengths along with his fine talents ! Hold the thought and pass it on !

Marc was a great lover of music - we did gigs and he had a special way of drawing out the audience. Marc also was a great Red Sox fan with a lot of knowledge of their history. I appreciated the fact that he valued my input about his writing.

Remembering Marc today with a thought about Brook Farm which he loved to visit- Thinking of Emerson and Margaret Fuller and then the old Civil War training grounds there. So evocative still and so important to his writing and to our New England heritage. . Much of this spot imbued his writings and spirit. Long may that memory linger ! .
