Les was a valued staff member of my father's lab at Lockheed and was one of his friends. As both my parents were only children, I grew to call him "Uncle Les." After my father retired on disability in 1978 when I was in my late teens, Uncle Les guided me on things like working on engines, buying used cars and fishing. I am sorry that I lost touch over the years.
