Shirley called me today to tell me of Laura's passing. She was in her teens when I first met Laura...I became a good friend of her mom. We both, at that time had a daughter named Laura Smith. She grew up to be a brilliant, intelligent girl, a shining star in the field of education, and foremost, a devoted wife and mom. You left us too soon, Laura, but I am assured of where you are now.
I just learned of Laura's passing. I am stunned. We met many years ago through our sons' friendship, and I had the honor of tutoring Marc for a time, and it was a joy when he and Luke would visit our home in San Jose, and she always warmly welcomed our son. Laura was one of the dearest and most amazing people I have ever known, She truly blessed us and we shall remember her always..
Meeting Laura when I first became a christian was truly a gift from God. My heart was broken and I was in a very dark place. Her love felt like a warm cosy blanket on a cold dark night. She touched my heart, gave me hope and I will cherish precious moments shared together always. Our love and friendship is eternal. God bless you Laura.
