Lance was a very special man with a huge heart, a wacky sense of humor, a gentle nature, and a huge intellect.  Everywhere we lived he volunteered to help others through his translation abilities, tutoring, CASA & SMART volunteering, community organizing and more.  He was a Peace Corps volunteer in Boliva for two years.  And he was a volunteer reader for the Ashland New Plays Festival.
