I went to high school with Kim in Burns, Oregon and graduated with her in 1980. Kim was one of the smartest, kindest, and wittiest people in our class. She was always there to listen or offer a kind word and personally helped me many times understand a difficult problem in class. My thoughts and prayers go to her family and friends. She was a sweet, dear soul. God bless.
Jeri, you described Kim so well. I've been close to Kim since 2nd grade. She was the most intelligent girl I knew. She was kind, witty and had a wonderful sense of humor. I had forgotten how nice she was to help explain school work. We continued our friendship in the early 1990's when she moved to Utah. My husband and sons adored her and we often watched Lawrence Welk on Sat. nights.
My wife Brigitte got to know Kim when they were both graduate students at Iowa State Univ. (I met Kim later on). Brigitte and I were greatly blessed when Kim served as one of the Bridesmaids in our wedding. Kim often consulted with us when she was dating John (she shared quite a few funny stories!). We are very grateful that we got to spend time with Kim and John this past December for a few hours. We miss her greatly but we know she is dancing with unspeakable joy in heaven!
