Kathy was a dear friend, she was a person that really cared about others before herself. She was genuine and loving and caring. She really loved the funny pictures and jokes that I would show her from the social media sights, it really made her day go by faster. She cared about her job no mater what it brought for the day. I will miss her dearly. Love Kathy sands

Thinking of my dear Friend Kathy today as she is remembered by family and friends. Way back in the day we had so much fun!! Back in the Viracon days..so I'm talking mid 80's... WOW... time flies.. Kathy Parsons?, Cathy Zales?, Carolyn, Kim and I had a great time providing Customer Service to the Midwest Customers... All the days spent busy busy busy..there was always alot of laughter and fun too... We were the best in the Midwest.... LOL... Also recalling on this day all the fun Viracon parties... especially the BBQ out at the Presidents Farm out by Medford...  We danced and danced to a great country band and truly enjoyed the fun and the music!! Kathy so loved to dance!!!
As the years went on we lost touch but then a great miracle happened... our children fell in love... Kathy's Son Adam and my daughter Melissa.... What a true blessing of serendipity to bring back a wonderful friendship... We enjoyed time together as a family..I couldn't ask for a better guy for my daughter.... Love you Adam and Melissa... With our friendship rekindled.. we enjoyed many Nick's Pizza... Georges Special was our favorite.... days at the Steele County Fair listening to music..including the Fabulous Love Handles and a bit more of the dancing we so loved to do..
Living in Vegas..we always made an effort to see each other... playing Bingo and more Nick's Pizza.... The last time being this Aug at the Steele County fair... We visited in Fair Square and shared a few laughs...her sense of humor razor sharp as always... We shared a big hug and a heartfelt I Iove you..and that was the last time I saw her....
Today my friend I say Goodbye ...I wish you peace and love and a whole lot of dancin' in heaven...  I know you'll be tapping your foot.
Rest in peace my dear friend...You will be missed and always remembered..... God's Speed...............

Cathy Zales writes....Kathy and I were friends when we worked at Viracon. After I quit there, we'd meet up every once in a while. Since I moved away and, over the past few years, she and I have met up at the fair. She had the wildest and dry sense of humor. I think that's what brought us together because my sense of humor can be just as dry. Although, people would take it as sarcasm sometime, rather than good, old-fashioned dry wit. She and I had a great visit this past summer at the fair. I am devastated that she has gone so early. I pray that she has found peace.
