Dad taught me so much . . . creativity and spontaneity, inquisitiveness and a passion for learning, reverse-engineering everything I see, always asking why and questioning authority, hard work, compassion for others, and fearlessness to be different as long as I'm true to my values and stand by my principles. Dad was warm and smart and funny and vibrant and authentic, and I hope I am too.
Doc W was beloved by many staff and residents at Los Gatos Meadows, where I had the honor and pleasure of working with him for 13 years. His integrity, deep caring for his patients well being, love of teaching, and playful sense of humor will be sorely missed. I shall never hear "Oh What a Beautiful Morning" without thinking of him. My condolences to the family. Darlene Scher LVN
I remember Dr Wortley as being one of a kind. He was a excellent doctor. He was kind, passionate and patient. If he thought something was wrong or did not make sense, he would tell you. Dr Wortley was not afraid to debate but he never disrespected others. I still have a Rx he wrote telling a state rule is stupid. This I cherish.
My grandfather was everything you could wish to have as a grandfather. He taught me so many things, from being an honest and wise woman to becoming a great swimmer. He loved to laugh at a good joke and enjoy life by all means. Nothing was too adventurous for him. He was a fine man, a loving father and a dedicated grandfather. I will miss him very very much.
there is one more thing that I'd like to say as a tribute to my dad. In Paris, at the open market, there was a place (before the vegetables) where they sold hardware. He got into that like a kid with his hand in the candy jar. Just plain LOVED it. 'how does this work, what is that for?' etc. Then, "This's more fun than a barrel of monkeys!" inimitable That's what Dad taught me. Love life.
