Saying a bittersweet 'so long' to a good friend, mentor, and fellow journeyman on this road of discovery we all travel. Reflecting on the 12 years (almost to the day) that we began enjoying this myriad restoration craft together. The constancy only belied by no two days ever being the same. I still can’t fathom how it went by so fast. Love, peace and safe travels. Until we meet again.
When I was a freshman full of troubles at Lawrence University, John had a room at the end of the second floor corridor in Plantz Hall, where I spent many hours complaining, bragging and generally being a kid away from home. John listened, advised and tolerated me. He became "Uncle John" to me and my friends. He was a gentle, kind, special friend. I am deeply saddened at his death.
