Condolences to the Ludy family. It is with sadness that we have learned of Jerry’s passing. I met coach Ludy in the summer of 1968 at Richmond Union High School. He took twenty Junior Varsity Football Players and demonstrated leadership, strength and confidence  to Lead us to an undefeated Season. In my career, I would often refer to Coach Ludy’s inspiration, encouragement and “breaking down” complex tasks into manageable activities. Coach Ludy had such influence, he could “pump you up” or bring you to tears. Jerry had the ability for you to desire to be better. He was not only teaching us Football but role modeling the characteristics of being a committed and responsible human beings. We learned many life skills from Coach Ludy. I will always remember our time together with fondness. Until we meet again Coach. God bless you
