My "baby cousin".  I remember when you were born.  You were all the rave.  And what a fine young lady you grew to be.  Such a sweet gentle heart you had.  Your spirit will live on in our hearts forever.  Gone but never ever forgotten.

Dearest Janine, I have grown to respect you so much.  You surmounted incredible obstacles to achieve all that you did in your young life. I will never forget our last goodbye outside the classroom -- your soft voice, your sweet smile, and your gentle hug wishing me a Merry Christmas. May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest in a place of Mercy and Eternal Peace.  Namaste.

Janine/Little Sis/J9/Janine the Bean ~
We are remembering and loving you on your birthday today, and always: listening to your favorite music, sharing beautiful memories and eating at one of your favorite vegan restaurants. Will be posting here today, all year long and beyond. You'll always be with us.

I am remembering a particular visit to Cali in 1985 and we all went to an amusement park.  I can't remember the context but I do remember Janine saying repeatedly, "I am just a little girl!" in a little raspy voice. (smile) I don't know why I remember that particular quote so vividly but it is bringing a smile to my face today!

Janine, your legacy of love of languages and having a global perspective lives on through your little cousins.
