Even though I did not know Mrs Cox, I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to her family. Acts 24 : 15, Psalms 37 : 29, Isaiah 25 verse 8 gives us more comfort for today and hope for the future. Just think how much God wants us to live forever and how much he loves us and how we will see our loved one's again.
Sincere condolences to the family. Jane Nichols Cox was my Spanish Teacher at George Wythe HS in the late 1960's and my favorite high school teacher. She inspired me to appreciate foreign languages and provided an example of how a teacher should care for her students. I fondly remember her stories about her travels to Spain and about the love of her family.
To meet someone on vacation and develop a strong friendship is a testament to Jane's warmth and sense of adventure. The friends she made in the Chicago area have such fond memories of her wit and style. I personally will miss Jane dearly. Rest in peace, dear friend.
Sorry for your lose. I wish I had kept in touch with her after I left the school board office. I loved Jane so much. She was one of my best and favorite bosses for the 7 years I worked at the Henrico Couinty School Board office. She shared her clothes with me when she was done with them. I still have a beauriful pin that she brought me from one of her overseas trips.
