I have had the honor of knowing this man for over 30 years!  Although, I do not have one particular story to share, I can share that we were ALWAYS laughing when he was around!  I look forward to playing chicken foot with him again someday ??

This is Gerry's oldest granddaughter.  I took this photo of him when we were in Santa Cruz; we loved to drive over the hill to have lunch on the wharf and then stop at Marianne's on the way back for ice cream!  On this particular day, Papa said he would pay for my lunch if I picked the correct number between one and 10 ~ He was shocked when I picked the right number, #8!!

I met Gerry when he came to Seattle around 2005.  His twin was married to my Dad, Harry Beyers, and through Gerry I was able to connect with Tom and my niece Jennifer..  I feel blessed that I had the opportunity to visit with him and learn about Geraldine and my Dad.
I will always remember him, he was a very special man..

We met Pastor Gerry through his daughter, Jan, and what a gracious and godly man he was!  He was always so affirming about my husband's sermons when he worshipped at our church in Grass Valley--that meant a lot because Pastor Gerry has heard ALOT of sermons in his 90 years :) He showed the love of Christ through his ministry and as a missionary.  We will miss him-see you in Heaven!

When we were baby Christians we had the honor of meeting Pastor Gerry at the daily prayer meetings held at Bethel Church. Gerry took us under his wing and lovingly mentored us in the faith. He was the most loving and gentle man as he answered all of our 'newbie' questions. We are so thankful and grateful that our God saw fit to include Pastor Gerry as part of our Christian growth.

Gerry was special to me for many reasons - a friend of my grandmother Alma Jones - he reminded me of the fondest parts of my childhood at Bethel Church.

In his 80's, things came full circle and I enjoyed time with him in Grass Valley, CA with granddaughter Valerie. Truly a pastor, and a man who represented Jesus!
