I visited you today, the 8th anniversary of your passing. I wanted to say thank you again and remember you. I think of you often and enjoy helping older people. Somehow that reminds me of you too.
I brought flowers from the garden, clivia and sunflower with smoke tree leaves. The sunflower is from seeds I got in Amami Oshima, quite a stunning blossom.
I'm remembering you today. Nina and the kids came a couple of days before returning to Japan at the end of August.
I have your artificial flower arrangements, one large white one in the middle of the dining room table which must be at least 15 years old. It looks great.
Dear Mother, Happy Birthday!
I'm grateful for the life that's been afforded me from you, the Adachi legacy and the Fallenbaum legacy. It has been a growing experience having Nina, Kenshin, Mirai and Isa regularly traversing Japan and Berkeley. I hope to make it another 10 or 20 years to see their lives!
Plants I'm learning about now: Gekka Bijin and Tenbai!
Sorry I missed the anniversary of your last day here, 2 days ago. I also was late to Shotsuki Hoyo because they started 15 minutes early in Sept. But I'm here now, writing to say I think of you daily, especially when I say "Itadakimasu." Mariko, Yoko-neisan's daughter, visited a couple of weeks ago and the first thing she wanted to do was go Ohaka Maeri. Beautiful day!
