Eleanor was sunshine, determination, kindness, humor, a keen mind and a really great friend.  I could count on her in more ways than I could enumerate. She was simply the best and will always remain that way in my mind.

With love and thoughts to her memory and her very special family from Kathy, Marty & Zack

Eleanor's smile always made me feel welcomed.  She was kind and generous to me and our family.  She truly cared, was a wonderful listener and so genuinely supportive.  I will miss hearing her political commentary, book review, books to take home, delicious meals, curiosity about my life and family and her passion for life.  Eleanor thank you for the many gifts you gave. Lovingly, Jodie

I lost my dear sister Eleanor. I will miss her tremendously. She overcame much and was a loving, charitable, personable, learned and elegant woman. She had it all. I feel grateful and proud to be her brother. She had it all. I love you Eleanor.

My Aunt Eleanor is and was an amazing woman, person, and irreplaceable light in this world. She was always so good to me, supported me, made me feel loved, and always reached out to tell me she was thinking of me even when she was sick herself. She put her family, beliefs, and values at the center of everything she did and I admired her and adored  her so much for that and everything she was. She was vocally supportive of me being gay, which deeply imprinted on my heart, especially in my first years coming out. She made me feel safe and welcome as she fought for equality and justice for all people. I love her so much and cannot believe God has taken away an angel so soon. I know I speak for my siblings and cousins when I say she will forever be an integral part of our family and our childhood and young Iives. Rest easy Aunt Eleanor. I will think of you every time I fight for justice  and every time I listen to the Beatles. You will be in my heart always.
