Aunt Ellie had an outgoing personality, made others feel comfortable around her, and enjoyed life to the fullest. My father (Gus) cherished the times he was able to spend with his sister during telephone conversations or visits to California. I will always remember our family trip to the San Francisco Bay Area and the time we were able to share with Ellie.
I found Ellie's business card from when she helped me buy a house 23 years ago. Ever since I met Ellie, I have always kept her card with me because she was such an incredible human being.
My favorite experience was when we went to see "Grateful Dead" together in a rainstorm wearing plastic ponchos!
Dear Aunt Ellie, Please know that you are so missed! Please know that my mother Joan adored you! Many of my favourite memories are flying out to California and staying with you. You never lost your youthful vitality and when I was staying with you I felt like we were teenagers hanging out together. My father spoke so fondly about you. You were a rock in my mother's life.
