Dr. Fred was my physician for about 25+ years. He was a very friendly, and kind doctor. The times there at his office, he was very nice to talk to, and very helpful. I will miss Dr. Fred, and will have many good memories of him and his good work. Many blessings and thoughts I send to the Schwertley family.
Uncle Fred, may you rest in peace. You were a good and kind man and will be missed.
Fred was a great man. Very witty, and a good father. As a kid, I wished he was my father. I lived right around the corner and I was good friends with his son Eric, and I have many good memories of long drives to the Delta for a weekend of water skiing. I don't believe I ever saw him get angry. What a cool guy.
Fred was a quintessential gentleman with a heart of gold. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
I had the pleasure of working with Doc Fred. I was his assistant. He took me under his wing and taught me so much. Very patient and caring man. I have always had the utmost respect for him. He treated his patients with love and care. Always interested in their lives and health. My family and his became close and enjoyed many fun dinners, trips to Lake Tahoe and fun gatherings. May he rest in peace and will always be remembered. Love to his family.
We met Dr. Fred in 1989 when our son was merely 2 moths old. The baby was sick and Dr. Fred took him in hand and cared for him and our family until his retirement. No doctor could have been kinder and more ready to help at any time. We loved him dearly and will miss him very much. We hope he is in a better place and at peace! Good bye, Dr. Fred.
Dr. Fred was such a kind and compassionate physicians. He always made time for the many reps that came into his office. We will miss you and your upbeat personality.
I have been missing Fred since the day he retired. He has been my dr and friend for at least 30 years. He took care of my mother and my grand kids. I had a small stroke in Jan just after he retired and have been missing his wise guidance as I have to find other doctors. He called me about using oxygen, since I have used it 14 years and I have thought of him frequently. Mary Lou Lyon
RIP Dr Fred, my thoughts and prayers go out to the Family .
RIP Dr. Fred. The only GP I knew until Dec 23, 2015. Really was praying he'd live a lot longer. My thoughts and prayers to Jeff, Eric, Brian, Mrs. Schwertley and extended family
My heart is broken this morning. I have been a patient of Dr. Fred's since 1977. He was not only my doctor, he was a friend. He saved my life on three occasions, once when I had encephalitis and meningitis. He cared for my family. I will miss his quick wit and humor. There is no other Dr. Schwertley as I am finding out. He was such a big part of my life. I miss him already.
Dr. Schwertley was a great healer. We were his patients since coming to California in 1998. His calm and caring method of treating was very effective. When we visited his office we knew we were in good and expert hands. We will miss him.
You will be missed so very much Dr. Fred. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the many years of outstanding care you provided to myself and family. Our deepest sympathies to the Schwertley family.
He saved my life in October 1983, I called with sharp pains. He met me at the Hospital emergency entrance, I had my appendix removed after it ruptured. He loved to talk about boating, we will miss him dearly.
