Dorothy was a relative through marriage. Her son, Steve married our daughter Allison. They have a wonderful son, Kevin. There are only good things to say about Dorothy. She was generous, delightful and charming; an accomplished hostess, cook and pianist; a woman of faith and an animal lover. What stands out the most is her positive attitude. She is missed.
I feel so blessed to have had Dorothy for a mother-in-law. She was a wonderful grandma to Kevin and I learned so much from her. She was so positive and kind to everyone. She lived a full rich life and was always overflowing with gratitude. We loved her very much and will miss her deeply.
As a Young Girl we used to drive from Montana to California to visit Aunt Dorthy, Uncle Jim and the boys. It was always such a big adventure for the family. Aunt Dorthy was always very busy making sure we always had a great time. She was alway so positive and happy. She was also very special to my mother. She was my favorite aunt!??????
I met Dorothy in 2012, when I joined the Santa Clara Adult Education Piano class. I loved hearing Dorothy play, especially Chopin and Grieg, which seemed to be her favorites. She always had a smile on her face. We all had such fun in the class, sharing our love of music. Even though she has not been in the class the last few years, we still talk about her often. We will miss her greatly.
When we moved into our “new” house on Rosario Av., we were so lucky to have Jim and Dorothy as our neighbors right across the street. Over the years they became our friends. We watched over each other’s homes and enjoyed many afternoon get togethers for wine and cheese. Dorothy was adorable and a great friend. Happy to have her in our lives and will miss her.
I remember Dorothy well from St. Joseph of Cupertino Church. Some years ago, she and I were piano accompanists for the children's choir. She was a very fine pianist and musician. We were also fellow Montanans and proud of it! We used to discuss the various sights and landmarks in Montana, specifically the hidden Underground City in Havre. Thank God for the privilege of knowing Dorothy
For about 5 years I was the director of the Children's Choir at St Joseph of Cupertino church. Dorothy was our piano accompanist during that time and it was a joy to work with her. Besides being a wonderful pianist, she could adjust to whatever was needed during the mass. Some years later when we lost our son, Dorothy was most kind consoling me having endured the same grief herself.
