You are an amazing man - Uncle Dan.
You can make us all laugh in ways nobody can.

You love to joke,
And to jest with folk,
Just to see if they know if you're "blowin' smoke."

But although you're such fun,
You will tell anyone,
Of your faith - firmly planted in God's only Son.

And because you believed, we can all be relieved, That forgiveness and grace is what you've now received.

You'll want us to know,
Though we all love you so, that heaven's the place that you've wanted to go.

And, that a life lived for Jesus -Actually frees us.
Holy and blameless is how Christ clearly sees us.

You've lived a good life,
And no longer know strife,
You'll be missed by us all,
(but especially your wife.)

And as best we can tell,
You ran your race well -
So we'll not choose to focus on a final farewell,

But instead on your life,
And the truth you're alive.
And content to be waiting for us all to arrive.

So we thank you for fun
And your faith in God's Son.
We're assured you have heard,
