Mom was the heart of our family, always there to help us navigate the difficult times. She was a great sounding board, always willing to listen. Plus Mom was our peace keeper, especially when it came to dealing with Dad.  She had a brilliant mind (going to college at 16) and had a marvelous sense of humor.  She supported us and encouraged us to follow our passions (e.g., becoming a scientist) because she did not get to follow hers (she went to college at 16 but her parents  would not let her major in science because it was not an appropriate career for a female).

Mom loved to travel, especially enjoying their world travels to Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, the Americas, etc.  She was an excellent planner and navigator and especially enjoyed the country side, meeting everyday people and trying new things.  She enjoyed entertaining, and especially enjoyed their times at Lake Tahoe and having family and friends over.

She was an avid reader and especially enjoyed reading travel articles, mysteries and romance. She was a whiz at cribbage, and could whip us all, much to Roger and Jeff’s chagrin.  She enjoyed setting down to play a game of solitaire.

But most of all, she loved her kids, grandkids and great grandkids and spending time with them and spoiling them! And yes Mom, we did have to deprogram them when we got them back.

Mom, thank you for teaching us and showing us how to be fantastic Moms and caring and loving people too!

Mom, we love you and know you are still watching out for us!

Our family has had the honor of attending the annual fourth of July celebrations at Lake Tahoe with Charlotte and Ed's family and friends.
Charlotte always had a warm and welcoming smile no matter how many of us showed up on any given year. Thank you for blessing us with your friendship.  We look forward to seeing you again.           The Decarias
