Charley was such a nice guy, amiable, positive, happy. I remember him with a big smile always. He liked people and looked for ways to help. I remember a visit in the 1990s. I drove my folks from Minnesota to Richmond. I did all the driving. I was so tired when we arrived. Charley sensed my exhaustion and made me a glass of carrot juice! What a nice surprise. It was wonderful! He was a great person.
We have fond memories of Charlie, always the smile and chuckle as he was relating the latest funny story as often happened in the printing business. He was an inspiration overcoming health challenges and maintaining a positive outlook. He even thought it quite humorous that his besengi dog pooped in the driver's seat of his van while being left alone. We feel privileged to have known him.
