Carmelita was first person I met when intern at City Planning Dept in 1983. She was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Saw her many times over the 26 yrs I worked for City- such a lovely person. Enjoyed seeing her at WUZA! So sorry for your loss.
In Peace my friend??
I met Carmelita when I was hired in 1975 as an assistant planner for the City of Oakland. She helped me adjust to my new job. She was always gracious and compassionate and sincerely interested in the current news of family and friends. it was a delight to see her periodically at WUZA and catch up. She will be truly be missed.
Auntie Lita was such a beautiful soul. Always willing to help anyone. She loved making flower arrangements and was extremely good at it. I always loved to seeing her dancing. RIP. We will watch over Jackie, Gary and Tony.
Although both Jim and Lita are now gone, Tom and I will always cherish the memories we have of the many family outings, birthday celebrations, etc. that we shared as our children were growing up. Lita was the epitome of the loving and devoted wife and mother, and a genuinely caring and lovely human being. May you rest in everlasting and eternal peace--you will always be remembered.
Auntie Lita was such a sweet and kind soul. She was always friendly and smiling even to those of us not related. Her passion for helping others was always there. May she rest well and may her entire family remember that smile and love for family.
