To Barbara's family and friends,

I just walked by the Newton Highlands house on my way to the post office and noticed it empty. The last time I saw and spoke to Barb was about two years ago at the bank in Waban. We workd at The UMass Field station during the 1980s.

Barb was a pleasure to work with. I just found out about her passing from her co-worker, Pat C. from the Field Station days.I was wondering lately when I would run in to her again. She was a pleasant and happy person to me and a fellow horticulturist. I and all who knew her in Newton will miss her. God Bless the Balasa family
