Sylvia, I have such happy memories of dancing with Everett (once he learned to dance) to Armond's music. He was so happy on the bandstand and so very pleasant EVERY time we met him - Your smile and sometimes goofy humor was delightful. Enjoy your memories. I do
Muj otec, what a tremendous man. His laughter, sense of humor and twinkle in his eyes will always live in my heart. Love you always otec and will miss you like crazy.
Armond was like a grandfather to me. Every time he would see me a big grin and a twinkle in his eyes were there. He lived next door to me.
we would sit on the swing and talk for awhile. I will never forget this man. He was very special to me. Forever love Armond to you,
Armond was a wonderful inspiration to me when I was a young lad, trying to learn the accordion. We also shared some common interests, later in life. I always enjoyed hearing Armond’s music and I feel very privileged to have known him.
My wife and I were privileged to know Armond during the short time that I worked at the old Sears store in downtown Owatonna. Even though we hadn't seen him for nearly 25 years, she remembered him immediately, and very positively, when I mentioned that I had heard of his passing on KRFO. He was certainly a blessing to us all, and he brightened up this world a bit for everyone who knew him.
I knew and have always known that a fortunate part of my childhood was living next door to Armond. His always cheerful, yet serene greeting was so welcoming. What I didn't realize was the legacy he had created and was creating. He was just my neighbor and I felt lucky for that. Still do.
